The inventory problem every retail shop faces
Running a retail shop means constantly juggling hundreds of items across multiple suppliers. You reorder too late and shelves go empty. You buy too much and cash is locked in slow-moving stock. You discover discrepancies only at month-end, when it is already too late to act.
Most inventory software either requires a monthly subscription, demands a constant internet connection, or is so complex it needs dedicated IT support. Small and mid-sized retail shops in India need something simpler — a desktop app that works offline, keeps accurate stock counts automatically, and alerts you before problems happen.
Real-time stock tracking that updates itself
Brand Store maintains a live inventory count for every item in your catalog. The moment you record a purchase lot, stock goes up. The moment a sale is entered, stock goes down. Returns, damaged goods, and disposals are all accounted for separately — so your inventory figures always reflect reality, not approximations.
There is no need to manually reconcile stock at the end of the day. Every transaction in the Purchase and Sale sections feeds directly into the Inventory section. You open inventory and the numbers are current.
Low-stock alerts so you reorder at the right time
Brand Store uses colour-coded low-stock indicators in the inventory view. Items approaching depletion are flagged automatically, so you can raise a purchase order with the right supplier before the shelf runs empty. This is especially useful for fast-moving items where even a single day out of stock means lost sales.
Bulk item import via CSV
Setting up a new store or adding a large catalog by hand is time-consuming. Brand Store supports CSV import in the Item Master section. Prepare a spreadsheet with your item names, sale prices, purchase prices, GST rates, and unit of measure — then import the whole catalog in one go. The expected format is straightforward:
- name, description, sale_price, sale_gst, purchase_price, purchase_gst, uom
- Supported units: Nos, Kg, Lt, Dozen, Pack
- A sample CSV template is available inside the app for reference
For shops migrating from a spreadsheet or another system, this means your full item master is live within minutes, not days.
Supplier-linked purchase lots
Every stock purchase in Brand Store is recorded as a purchase lot linked to the supplying vendor. You can track how much you bought, at what price, from which supplier, and on which date. Damaged goods from a lot and supplier returns are logged separately. This gives you a complete picture of your procurement history and helps negotiate better terms with suppliers at renewal time.
The inventory module then aggregates all active lots to show current stock. When a lot is fully consumed through sales, it naturally disappears from available stock — no manual cleanup needed.
Works on Mac and Windows, fully offline
Brand Store is a native desktop application available for both macOS (10.15 Catalina and later, including Apple Silicon) and Windows (10 version 1809 or later, 64-bit). All data is stored in a local SQLite database on your machine — no server, no cloud account, and no internet connection required to use any feature. Your inventory data stays on your hardware, private by default.
Try it free for 10 days
Brand Store includes a full-featured 10-day free trial from the moment you first launch the app. No credit card, no sign-up — just download, install, and start managing your inventory. After the trial, contact for pricing on a 1-year or lifetime license.
