The Problem with Manual Profit Splitting
Many vegetable shops, grocery stores, and small retail businesses in India are run by two or three partners. At the end of each week or month, someone pulls out a notebook, looks at the cash, and tries to divide it according to each partner's share. The calculation is manual, prone to errors, and often leads to disagreements — especially when expenses and spoilage are factored in.
Campus Store solves this with a built-in partner profit share system. You set each partner's percentage once. The app then calculates each person's exact rupee share from the net profit — automatically, for any date range you choose. Today, this week, this month, or a custom period.
The calculation is based on the actual net profit recorded in Campus Store — sales revenue minus purchase costs. No more arguments about whether the numbers are right. The system is transparent, consistent, and printable for settlement meetings.
Live Example
This is what the partner profit share section looks like in Campus Store. You set the percentages once in Settings. On the dashboard, you select the date range and the rupee amounts appear automatically.
The business's retained share — the portion not assigned to any partner — is calculated automatically from the remaining percentage.
Hit Print and you get a formatted PDF settlement statement — ready for the next partner meeting.
How It Works
No special accounting knowledge needed. Campus Store handles the maths.
Go to Settings in Campus Store. Add each partner by name with their ownership percentage — for example, 35%, 25%. The remaining percentage is automatically shown as the business's retained share.
Record purchases and sales as usual in Campus Store. The app tracks net profit in the background — no extra work needed for the partner share calculation.
Open the dashboard and select the period you want to settle — today, this month, or any custom date range. The partner profit share section appears alongside the P&L.
Each partner's name, percentage, and exact rupee amount is shown. Hit the print button to generate a formatted PDF settlement statement — take it to your partner meeting.
Why It Matters
Manual profit splitting causes real problems — this feature prevents all of them.
Stop doing division on a piece of paper or a calculator app. Campus Store calculates every partner's rupee amount from the actual net profit figure — instantly, for any date range.
When the numbers come from a consistent, transparent system — not a mental calculation by one partner — disagreements disappear. Both partners see the same data from the same source.
Generate a formal PDF statement for any period. Use it as a record of the settlement meeting — or hand a copy to each partner so everyone has documentation.
Calculate profit share for today, this week, this month, this quarter, or any custom start and end date. Useful for monthly settlements or for reviewing an entire year at once.
The share is calculated from the real net profit — sales revenue minus purchase costs — recorded in Campus Store. Not from cash in hand or rough estimates.
All data stays on your computer. No cloud account, no internet dependency. Your partnership financials remain private — not stored on any external server.
